Tara Austin, Director of Litigation

Based out of the firm's New York office, Tara has played a key role as Director of Litigation for the past seven years. Her primary responsibilities include participating on the Leadership Team, directing the legal staff in preparing for trials, working with clients and providing litigation support during trials.

All together, Tara has more than eleven years of experience in the litigation field. She previously worked for three years at Ness, Motley in Charleston on their asbestos litigation team and was responsible for cases filed in Austin. Tara earned her Bachelor's Degree in Pre-law/Paralegal Studies from Southern Illinois University where she worked with the director of the law school's Legal Services for the Elderly Clinic, which provided free legal services for individuals aged 60 or older.

Away from work, Tara enjoys tennis, running, golf, yoga, reading and doing volunteer work such as fundraising for non-profit organizations and spending time as a "Big Sister" mentor. She also enjoys travel, particularly in Italy, where she makes an annual pilgrimage to the Jazz Festival in Umbria.
